Caught Between Branding and Sustainability: Reselling as a Minimalist

I love the sustainability aspect if online reselling. We are recycling and reusing good quality items. It helps many people to make income who wouldnot otherwise be able to, and reusing clothing reduces the need to produce more.

That being said, I am often finding myself with small tinges of guilt over some of the branding expectations that come with being a Poshmark seller. Poshmark users like to treat their purchases as gifts, so gift wrapping and extras are expected from many customers. Here are a couple of thoughts for how I am trying to reconcile:

Use Recycled/Recyclable Materials (If you do use recycled materials for packing, make sure they are clean (it’s one thing to save money on handling, but if it’s gross you risk the entire sale being refunded.

Be mindful of extra gifts and notes (I’d much rather receive what I ordered, in good time and in good condition.)
